This nine year old boy saved his father’s life using first aid skills he had learned at school, the day before the emergency at home. This article shows how important it is for everyone to have these skills.
First aid training should be a fundamental part of the school curriculum and more children should be taught these life saving skills. We have recently worked with a few local schools to delivered first aid training in Buckinghamshire for school pupils, and it was lovely to see the positive interaction where pupils asked questions and got involved with the practical elements of first aid.
