We hope you’re well. As you may already be aware, there is a Government campaign that is recommending that all schools should have defibrillators available on site.
Here is the press release from November 2014 on gov.uk: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/automated-external-defibrillators-aeds-in-schools
Personally we think this is a good idea. We believe that having a defibrillator at schools could save lives. It would offer pupils, staff, visitors and the community a better chance of survival should a sudden cardiac arrest strike.
No matter who is affected, being able to act quickly is crucial. If a defibrillator is used and effective CPR is performed within three to five minutes of cardiac arrest, survival chances increase from 6% to 74%.
We’d like to hear what you think about this. Please feel free to drop us an email with your thoughts.
